Public Properties
 NameDescription
Public Property Contains the flood elevation in feet above mean sea level.
Public PropertyContains the proximity of the Location to a 100-year or 500-year flood zone, as calculated by AIR's Inland Flood Model for the United States. The value represents one of the following flood zone categories:
Category Description
100 Year The Location has a 1% chance of being flooded in any single year.
250 Year The Location has a 0.4% chance of being flooded in an single year.
500 Year The Location has a 0.2% chance of being flooded in any single year.
No data No flood data is available for the Location.

Public PropertyContains the distance, in miles or feet, from the Location to the nearest 100-year flood plain, as calculated by AIR's Inland Flood Model for the United States. A 100-year flood plain is an area in which the flood boundary has a 1% or greater chance of being equaled or exceeded in any single year.
Public PropertyContains the distance, in miles or feet, from the Location to the nearest 500-year flood plain, as calculated by AIR's Inland Flood Model for the United States. A 500-year flood plain is an area in which the flood boundary has a 0.2% or greater chance of being equaled or exceeded in any single year.
Public Property Contains the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) computed elevation to which flood water is anticipated to rise during a base flood. The Base Flood Elevation (BFE) is the elevation to which floodproofing of structures is required. The relationship between the BFE and a structure's elevation determines the flood insurance premium.
Public Property Contains the flood elevation in feet above mean sea level.
Public PropertyContains the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) flood zone designation. The value represents one of the following FEMA flood zone designations:
FEMA Flood Zone Designation Description
V Area along a coast subject to a 100-year flood event with additional hazard due to storm-induced waves. Detailed hydraulic analyses have not been performed. Therefore, Base Flood Elevations (BFE) and flood depths are not available.
VE Same as V, but BFEs derived from detailed hydraulic analyses are available.
A Area subject to inundation by 100-year flooding, determined using approximate methodologies. Detailed hydraulic analyses have not been performed. Therefore, BFEs and flood depths have not been determined.
AE Area inundated by 100-year flooding, for which BFEs have been determined.
AO Area inundated by 100-year flooding with sheet flow on sloping terrain with depths between 1 and 3 feet.
AOVEL Alluvial fan inundated by 100-year flooding. Usually sheet flow on sloping terrain with depths between 1 and 3 feet.
AH Area inundated by 100-year flooding with ponding between 1 and 3 feet deep.
A99 Area to be protected from a 100-year flood by a Federal flood protection system under construction.
D Undetermined but possible flood hazards.
AR Area inundated by flooding that was previously and will be again protected by a federal flood protection system for which restoration is federally funded and underway.
X500 Area is inundated by 500-year flooding.
X Low-risk area protected by levees or outside the 100 and 500-year floodplains.
100IC Area where the 100-year flooding is contained within the channel banks, and the channel is too narrow to show to scale.
500IC Area where the 500-year flooding is contained within the channel banks, and the channel is too narrow to show to scale.
FWIC Area where floodway is contained within the channel banks, and the channel is too narrow to show to scale.
FPQ Flood prone area, as designated on a USGS map, based on past floods. This area has 1% annual chance of flooding for which no Base Flood Elevations have been determined.
IN Area within a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA).
OUT Outside a special flood hazard area.
UNDES Area near a body of water, such as a pond or lake, that has no defined flood hazard.

Public PropertyContains the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) source of the flood data. The value represents one of the following sources:
Source Description
Q3FIRM Digital representation of some features of FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) data, intended for use with desktop mapping and GIS technology. Q3 flood data provides a general proximity of the Location to a special flood hazard area. It does not determine absolute delineation of flood risk boundaries.
DFIRM Digital version of FIRM. FEMA currently distributes its flood maps over the internet, replacing paper maps with digital images and GIS data.

Public PropertyContains the proximity of the Location to a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 100-year or 500-year flood zone. The value represents one of the following proximities:
Proximity Description
None The Location is not in a flood zone.
100 Year The Location has a 1% chance of being flooded in any single year.
500 Year The Location has a 0.2% chance of being flooded in any single year.
Outside The Location is outside the 100 and 500-year floodplains of a body of water.
Water body The Location includes a large lake, ocean, or river.
No data No flood data is available for the Location.
Unknown The Location has undetermined but possible flood hazards.

Public PropertyContains the distance, in miles or feet, from the Location to the nearest 100-year flood plain. A 100-year flood plain is an area in which the flood boundary has a 1% or greater chance of being equaled or exceeded in any single year.
Public PropertyContains the distance, in miles or feet, from the Location to the nearest 500-year flood plain. A 500-year flood plain is an area in which the flood boundary has a 0.2% or greater chance of being equaled or exceeded in any single year.
Public PropertyContains the distance, in miles or feet, from the Location to the closest Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-defined body of water, such as an ocean, large lake, or large river.
