What's new in Touchstone^® 2024 databases

Touchstone 2024 (12.0) includes new features and enhancements to the user interface, and updates to the Verisk Models. Information specific to software and model updates, installation, technical specifications, log into the Client Portal and read the following resources:

We made the following schema changes to accommodate new features and enhancements.

We updated the Touchstone user interface and databases to include the model capabilities.

We added a new peril and peril set code for smoke in the tPeril table in AIRReference. This allows Touchstone to account for exposures exposed to smoke peril.
To account for losses due to smoke, we added a new CoversSmoke property for the existing tPerilSet table in AIRReference.
We added UPX peril and the corresponding peril set code for smoke in the tConvertUPXPerilSet table in AIRReference.

Data updates

Annual data updates for AIRReference including additional validation error codes, construction/occupancy codes, and peril set codes.

What's new in Touchstone^® 2023 (11.0) databases

Touchstone 2023 includes new features, enhancements, and Verisk model updates. We have updated the AIR Database schema to accommodate the new and enhanced features. Information specific to maintaining your databases will be available at the time of product release on the Touchstone 2023 Release Documentation page on the Client Portal. Highlights

We modified the existing AIRReference.tDemandSurgeRegion table to store demand surge by country.
We updated the database schema to allow users to exclude exposures by the lines of business, construction, and occupancy codes when exporting exposures to a UNICEDE/2 file.

What's new in Touchstone^® 2021 (9.0) databases

Touchstone 2021 (9.0) includes enhancements to AIR models, flexibility (in modeling), marine modeling, terrorism modeling, and licensing by business unit. It also offers expanded database flexibility and loss import capabilities. This release also includes a technical preview of the new Next Generation Models (NGM) framework. AIR has modified the existing Touchstone database schema to integrate the NGM capabilities in Touchstone.

AIR has made changes to the database schema to accommodate the following features and enhancements for Touchstone 2021.

Includes additional coverages for layer and sublimit, location-level minimum and maximum deductibles, reinsurance treaty terms, and loss results by sub-peril.
Includes new peril codes for the AIR Severe Thunderstorm Model for the U.S. Now you can directly append the straight-line wind, hail, and tornado perils for contracts and locations in Touchstone.
Support for a new currency exchange rate table and new currency code BYN (in addition to the existing BYR) for Belarus. The currency table has also been updated with the VEF (Bolivar Fuerte) currency exchange rate.
Import custom event frequency and custom vulnerability catalogs for all AIR models in Touchstone.
Determine the highest loss accumulation in a crowded exposure through the Dynamic Ring and Grid Ring analyses. AIR has modified the Exposure Concentration Ring schema to include the "Remove overlaps" function and financial perspective for tracking the highest loss.
Support for new weapon types for the AIR Terrorism Model (M01) for the U.S. and Workers' Compensation Data (M02) model for the U.S. Now you can specify these new weapon types in the Event Set Manager in Touchstone.
Support for Fast Underwriting Loss Analysis (FUWLA) by model rather than by event sets or perils. AIR has added a new table to map model information, country, peril, and the associated FUWLA mode.
To enhance the support for the Marine Line of Business, we have added damage functions for modeling marine cargo, salvage potential, small utility protection, and specie risks. AIR has also added new construction and occupancy codes and secondary modifiers. Note that the secondary modifiers will not impact losses at this time.

Therefore, non-catastrophe peril analysis will no longer be available as a separately licensable analysis type. Touchstone still supports the ‘NC’ peril code in the exposure management and geospatial modules. The AIRLossCost and AIRPSOLD databases in the prepared databases, and non-catastrophe loss analyses related schema tables in the AIRExposureSummary, AIRResult, AIRUserSetting, and AIRProject databases is no longer available.
AIR no longer supports option for importing the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development (ACORD) data into Touchstone.

AIR has renamed the existing table names to store loss results generated using the NGM Loss Engine. The schema is same for both Touchstone and NGM Loss Engine and the tables in the left column are mapped with the newly created tables in the right column. Therefore, when you run analyses for one of the seven selected models in the Touchstone UI with the NGM Loss Engine setting, Touchstone dynamically generates the loss tables shown in the right column and populates loss results data only for these tables in NGM Loss Engine.

Coverage correlation defines the risks at policy coverage level such as buildings, other structures, contents, and time element.
