User Model Management

The User Model Management function available in the Event Set Management group in the Administration Console enables you to seamlessly integrate non-AIR models into Touchstone.

You can build a custom model using the Touchstone Model Builder standalone tool, which requires a separate license. Model Builder has the flexibility to enable users to model perils and countries not currently modeled by AIR. The Model Builder user performs the following tasks, which are described in detail in the Using Touchstone Model Builder guide:

Defines the perils and regions covered by the custom model.

       Builds an event catalog.

Builds a local intensity footprint of the events in the catalog.

Builds a vulnerability module by preparing several types of damage files.

Model Builder converts the catalog, intensity, and damage files to binary form and creates a model package for import into to Touchstone. You can replace only the damage functions.

The User Model Management pane enables you to import custom user models into Touchstone. You can then select the custom model to use with your imported exposure data when you run a Detailed Loss Analysis.
