Configuring a Tenant Definition |
When you configure a tenant definition, you create a single global rule that applies to Data Quality Analysis Validation, Benchmark, and Augmentation analyses, and to A.M. Best data. For Validation and Augmentation analyses, Data Quality Analysis uses all the options to define which policies are interpreted as "tenant" policies for the purpose of the analyses. For Benchmark analyses and A.M. Best Reports, Data Quality Analysis uses only the ratio of building to contents value.
A residential tenant is any location where: the line of business resembles 'tenant'; the policy form is HO4 (renter's insurance) or HO6 (condominium insurance); the building replacement value is less than the percentage you specify for the contents replacement value AND the occupancy is residential (300-307).
To configure a tenant definition:
1. Select one of the following methods.
You are making a global change when you change the tenant definition, whether you make the change from the Administration Console or from within the Rule Set Editor for Augmentation. |
a. Navigate to the Administration Console. In the navigation pane, click Data Quality and then click Configure Tenant Definition.
b. In the New Data Quality Analysis pane, select Enhance with Property-Specific Data and/or User-Specified Values, select the Property-Specific Data check box, and then click Options.
c. In the Rule Set Editor Augmentation window, select the Tenant Policy Identification & Augmentation Preferences check box and then click Configure Tenant Definition.
2. In the User line of business includes field, enter text that defines the line of business for tenant policies, such as "tenant".
3. In the Policy form includes field, specify the data that you want to use as criteria, for example, "HO4" or "HO6".
4. If you select the Occupancy Type includes check box, select the appropriate occupancy types and in the ratio of building to contents value field, enter a valid value.
The default value is 0.50 and the maximum value for the field is 10.00.
5. Click Apply.
When you configure the tenant definition from within the Rule Set Editor, the new settings do not take effect until you close the window and then open it again.
The Boolean operator OR tells Data Quality Analysis to use any of the selected rules. The Boolean operator AND, which appears between the Occupancy Type includes field and the ratio of building to contents value field tells Data Quality Analysis to apply both criteria. |
