Upgrading Databases to Touchstone 7.0 |
The Upgrade utility can convert Touchstone 5.x and 6.x databases to version 7.0. The Upgrade Database icon () is dimmed if a database cannot be upgraded to Touchstone 7.0.
If you choose to preserve results, Touchstone stores them in the Result database; however, the results are not available in the user interface.
To upgrade a database:
1. Launch Touchstone.
2. Access the Data Source Manager.
3. Attach the database or databases that you want to upgrade.
4. Select the database or databases that you want to upgrade.
5. On the ribbon, click Upgrade.
The Upgrade Options dialog box opens.
6. Select the upgrade options.
The system displays only the options relevant to the selected database or databases. The table describes the effect of your selections.

7. Click Upgrade and then click Refresh.
The version is now 7.0.0 and the database is registered.
