Distribution of Replacement Value by Construction |
The bar chart displays the percentages of the total replacement value
for each of the 
major
construction code categories.
Each construction category, such as Steel, is divided in proportion to
the types of construction in the category, such as light metal. Moving
the pointer over a section of a bar displays the percent of the total
replacement value (TRV) for the construction type in that particular category.
Touchstone dynamically displays the categories based on the composition
of the exposure data; categories that do not appear in the portfolio are
not represented in the chart.
This view enables you to validate construction based on the business you are writing. For example, you might see proportionately more wood frame constructions for a personal lines account. This view also highlights the percent of unknown constructions, which provides general information about the overall quality of the captured data. |
