External Models

AIR has integrated a set of external models with Touchstone, thereby providing you the flexibility to analyze your existing exposure data using external models. The integration is seamless; analyses run within the familiar Touchstone user interface and produce results in familiar formats. The integration of external models makes Touchstone a more open platform for catastrophe modeling.

Touchstone supports integration with:

•       ERN Earthquake Model for Mexico and the ERN Hydro Model for Mexico. For information about using the ERN models, see Using the ERN Models.

•       Risk Frontiers Models: Hail, Bushfire, Flood, Tropical Cyclone, and Earthquake for Australia, and Earthquake for New Zealand. For information about using the Risk Frontiers models, see Using the Risk Frontiers Models.

How it works

•       Install the external model in the model's native environment.

•       Install an applicable license for Touchstone to run external models.

•       Configure a Detailed Loss Analysis, Catastrophe Peril Analysis only (not a Non-Catastrophe Peril Analysis) in Touchstone that sends the analysis configuration to the external model.

•       The external model runs the analysis and returns the corresponding results to Touchstone.
