Licensing Considerations

AIR offers great flexibility in how you license Touchstone software. Your license file detects what items you are licensed to install. You must license Geospatial Analysis to run analyses using Geospatial Analysis and to create Geospatial Analysis templates. If you do not license it, it does not appear in the product.

If you license Geospatial Analysis and you enable Hazard Analysis in your license file, you can combine static hazard information with Geospatial Analysis capabilities, enabling you to visualize exposures using AIR Hazard data. Additionally, you can run the analyses against AIR Hazard layers to produce interactive tabular results.

If you license Geospatial Analysis, but you do not enable Hazard Analysis in your license file, you will not be able to access AIR Hazard data.

If you enable Hazard Analysis in your license file, but you do not license Geospatial Analysis, you can generate hazard reports in tabular format, for example, locations by soil type, but you cannot visualize anything geospatially other than the exposure overview.
