Specifying Results Display and Storage

Touchstone offers two modes of Geospatial Analysis, static and dynamic. The static mode accumulates losses deterministically by zones, rings, boundaries, or events, and users cannot interact dynamically with the results. The dynamic mode, which is enabled via the Enable Dynamic Results option, enables users to interact with the analysis results; they can filter the results, interact with map layers, and create widgets to try “what if” scenarios.

Optionally, in the Spatial Outputs area, select one or more outputs: Static Hazard, Custom Hazard, Detailed Loss Results, or Additional Attributes.

If you select a spatial output when configuring a Geospatial Analysis, Touchstone automatically selects the Enable Dynamic Results check box in the Results Display and Storage area, and you cannot clear the check box. To clear the check box, for example, to run a zone analysis without any spatial outputs, clear all the spatial outputs and then clear the Enable Dynamic Results check box.

If you selected the Additional Attributes spatial output, Touchstone automatically selects the Primary Characteristics check box, which is on the Additional Attributes pane (an option in the Spatial Outputs area). You cannot then select or clear the Primary Characteristics option.
