Analysis Options Panes (Marginal Impact Analysis) |
The Marginal Impact Diagnostics section enables you to configure Marginal Impact Analyses: Select Base Loss Result and Configure Groups. For more information, see Configuring and Running a Marginal Impact Analysis.
Use the following controls and fields to select and configure the Select Base Loss Result.
Field |
Description |
||
Exclude contracts based on Expiring Contracts ID |
By default, the Marginal Impact Analysis excludes expiring contracts from the base loss result. Every contract that is being renewed has an ‘Expiring Contract ID’ associated with it. The text box lists the contracts that are to be excluded. To include these contracts in the analysis, clear the Exclude contracts on Expiring Contract ID check box. |
||
Window |
Specify a range to calculate a window-based average for return period (RP) losses. Select 0 to report the losses for each RP with no averaging. Specify 1 to 9 to specify the range of losses around each RP to average. For example, if you specify a window of n, Touchstone calculates the marginal impact using averaged RP loss values for both the Target Analysis and the Base Loss Portfolio based on the average of 2n+1 loss values around each RP. |
||
Analysis Sid |
The Touchstone-generated analysis sequential identifier (SID) for each set of Detailed Loss Analysis or Loss Group Analysis results that is available for inclusion as the reference portfolio in this Marginal Impact Analysis. Select the single set of analysis results that you want to include in the analysis as the reference portfolio.
|
||
Name |
The name of each set of Detailed Loss Analysis or Loss Group Analysis results that is available for inclusion as the reference portfolio in this analysis. |
||
Project |
The project associated with each set of Detailed Loss Analysis or Loss Group Analysis results that is available for inclusion as the reference portfolio in this analysis. |
||
User ID |
The ID of the user who generated the analysis. |
||
Inline grid filters |
Enables you to show or hide the filters for the columns. |
||
Refresh Grid |
Enables you to refresh the list of available reference portfolios. |
Use the Configure Groups pane to associate perils with an Administration Boundary that you have defined in Touchstone. You can use the selection for this analysis and save it as a template for later use.
Field |
Description |
Template | Select a saved Admin Boundary template with its associated perils to use in this analysis. |
Target Name | The Analysis Target for this Admin Boundary and Perils combination.
You can add additional rows to this template. When you run the template, each Target Name generates a Marginal Impact Analysis. This enables you to run several Marginal Impact Analyses simultaneously. |
Administrative Boundaries | Select an Administrative Boundary from the list or click the Edit icon to create a new Admin Boundary. |
Perils | Select All Perils or the individual Perils you want to associate with this Administrative Boundary. |
Save as Template | Select the Save as Template option to save this Admin Boundary and Perils combination as a template for later analyses. In the Template Name field that appears, enter a unique name for the template. |
