Working with Marginal Impact Analysis Results

The Marginal Impact Analysis results grid displays a Marginal Impact Results table for each relevant Admin Boundary-peril set that you selected in Portfolio Mode or for the World All Perils region-peril set in Underwriting Contract Mode. Each table displays the information on three tabs: Overview, Scenarios, and Top 10.

To view Marginal Impact Analysis results:

1.     In Portfolio Mode, access the results grid for your project.

In Underwriting Contract Mode, open the contract for which you want to view the most recent Marginal Impact Analysis results.

2.     In Portfolio Mode, highlight the analysis for which you want to view the results after making sure that the activity status is "Completed." Then click the hyperlinked name of the Marginal Impact Analysis.

In Underwriting Contract Mode, click Marginal Impact.

Overview

The Overview tab displays aggregate and occurrence results for the following information:

Marginal Impact Calculation

Reference Portfolio

Portfolio

Reference Portfolio Excluding Expiring Contracts

Portfolio - Expiring Contracts
Excluded Contracts Expiring Contracts
Target Contract Renewing Contract
Updated Reference Portfolio (Portfolio - Expiring Contract) + Renewing Contract
Marginal Impact ((Portfolio - Expiring Contract) + Renewing Contract) - (Portfolio)

For each type of information the Marginal Impact Results table includes the following data:

       Average annual loss (AAL)

       Standard deviation (SD)

       Exceedance Probability (EP) points or return periods

You can view the results by portfolio. In addition, you can select different financial perspectives and modify the display options.

Scenarios

The Scenarios tab displays the same six types of information for a set of Lloyd's® Realistic Disaster Scenarios (RDS) and Extreme Disaster Scenarios (EDS) events.

Top 10

The Top 10 tab displays the top 10 Marginal Impact loss points sorted by absolute value.

If a Window was specified in Analysis Options, the Top 10 displays averaged losses based on the window defined by the user.
