Portfolio Thematic Summary Layer -- Persisting Settings

This topic applies to Touchstone 5.0 and earlier versions. Thematic Summary Options -- Persisting Settings in 5.1 and Later contains information about Map Tools in version 5.1 and later.

After configuring map layer properties, you can save the view by persisting the settings. You can persist settings for all exposure maps or only for the current map. The Area Level setting is never persisted.

To persist settings, select For all maps or For this map and then click Persist Settings. If you select For all maps, the settings become the default for all exposure maps and are saved as "User" in the Set To Map list. If you select For this map, the settings apply to the current exposure map and are saved as "Map" in the Set Map To list.

Touchstone applies global persistence (for all exposure maps) only after you close a project and then re-open it.

If you regenerate an exposure summary, the system does not retain any Map persistence settings, if they exist. When you open the new exposure view, Touchstone applies the current global persistence settings. No user-defined maps will be available.

If you modify the exposure summary map, you can view, without modifying the persistence, the exposure summary, using the AIR default map, or you can view the map with global persistence settings using the Set Map To option.
