Using Templates in Underwriting Contract Mode

Templates are an essential part of Underwriting Contract Mode because they are key in streamlining and standardizing the contract processing workflow. Touchstone provides the following two types of templates:

Analysis templates: These templates govern the default conditions in which Touchstone runs an analysis type, such as which event sets and perils to use, the number of cores to use, and how Touchstone should save losses. An analysis type that uses a pre-configured template always adheres to the same conditions to produce results. For each analysis type, Touchstone always displays the analysis template that was used to produce the most recent results.

Widget templates: These templates govern how the analysis results should appear within the "widgets" on the dashboard. Dashboard widgets are expandable and configurable windows that display results.

By default, clash, data quality, hazard, and detailed loss analyses each have an analysis template. You can create additional, custom analysis templates for each of these analysis types. Further, hazard and detailed loss analyses each also have a default widget template. You can create additional, custom widget templates for each of these analysis types, as well as for marginal and portfolio impact analyses.
