Summary | Analysis of Verisk North Atlantic Basinwide Hurricane Model and CLAs in Touchstone Re assigns some events to the incorrect day. |
Description | For a subset of years and events in the Verisk North Atlantic Basinwide Hurricane Model (M27) and (M30) catalogs (standard and WSST), there is an issue with the event ordering in the Industry Loss File, meaning the Event IDs within a year are not in sequential order. For aggregate exposure (market share) and CLF analyses, this is corrected during the analysis post-process so that the correct days and event order appear in the results tables. However, for CLA analyses, although the correct day of year order is considered in applying treaty terms, the results tables have the wrong entries in the DayID column. |
