Issue ID 154
Summary The default company Verisk 2024 Industry Exposure (Touchstone Re 13.0/2025) has incorrect data for South Korea wind, United Kingdom flood, U.S. earthquake workers comp, and Switzerland (all perils).
Description (a) South Korea Wind and UK Flood: In both the Indexed Insured (Take-up Rates) and Indexed Insurable exposure sets, the exposure data is incorrect (some LOBs are missing, and the LOBs that are populated have incorrect rates). The take-up rates files (Excel and UNICEDE) posted on the client portal contain the correct data. (b) U.S. earthquake workers comp In the Indexed Insured (Take-up Rates) exposure set, the U.S. earthquake workers comp LOB contains the previous year's take-up rates with the latest index factors applied. In the previous year's company, no take-up rates for workers comp were included. This will only impact users with U.S. workers comp in their license. The Indexed Insurable exposure is correct. The take-up rates files (Excel and UNICEDE) posted on the Client Portal contain the correct data. (c) Switzerland All Perils: In the Indexed Insured (Take-up Rates) exposure set, the take-up rates are incorrect for 4 CRESTAs: Thurgau, Ticino, Valais / Wallis, and Vaud. The Indexed Insurable exposure is correct. The take-up rates files (Excel and UNICEDE) on the client portal have been corrected; the issue was present in both Excel files and the Indexed UNICEDE files.

Workaround Correct indexed take-up rate files for South Korea, the UK, and Switzerland have been posted to the Client Portal on the 2025 UNICEDE/2 Take-up Rate Import page. For U.S. earthquake workers comp (WC), please contact Touchstone Re Support and a corrected indexed take-up rate UNICEDE/2 file can be provided, covering all U.S. indexed take-up rates.(Importing the WC file from the client portal alone with overwrite will delete the other lines of business.) Import the files into the indexed insured (take-up rates) exposure set using the "overwrite" option.

To update the indexed insurable exposure set:

  • For South Korea wind, populate 100% in all CRESTAs and LOBs except 'Commercial and Industrial'.
  • For United Kingdom Flood, populate 138% in all postal areas for the following LOBs: Residential Buildings, Residential Contents, Commercial, Industrial, Agriculture, Auto.
  • No update needed for U.S. EQ Workers Comp or Switzerland
