About loss analyses

Touchstone enables you to model catastrophic (CAT) events to estimate property and workers' compensation losses.

CAT events are caused by perils such as earthquakes and floods that can devastate large areas. You must import property and workers' compensation exposure data separately into Touchstone.

Touchstone can perform the following types of loss analyses:

  • Detailed loss analysis
  • Loss group analysis
  • Marginal impact analysis
  • CAT XOL analysis

For workers' compensation data, you can analyze losses that result from earthquakes (Verisk Earthquake Model for the United States [M11]) or acts of terrorism (Verisk Terrorism Model for the United States [M01]), and you can model Personal Accidents (PA) covered by the Verisk Earthquake Model for Japan [M52].
