Clash Analysis |
In Underwriting Contract Mode, Clash Analysis enables you to identify a potential underwriting clash, which is a condition that occurs when insurers write a significant amount of business in a small geographic area. Generally, insurers have guidelines that restrict the underwriting of large risks that are close together, but the situation becomes complicated when there are multiple business units that are writing policies independently of one another. Touchstone simplifies the identification of potential underwriting clash.
You run a Clash Analysis on a contract in Underwriting Contract Mode by specifying either an address or a distance to existing locations. Touchstone then considers all locations in the master portfolio exposure view when identifying all contract and/or portfolio locations with clash.
