Unregistering a Database

Registered databases are databases with which Touchstone can interact. When you create a database, the Data Source Manager automatically registers it for use with Touchstone, and you do not need to attach it.

When you unregister a database, Touchstone can no longer interact with it. You can unregister CEDE 2.0 Exposure databases (type EXP) or Results databases (type RES). You cannot unregister the AIR default Exposure and Results databases.

You must unregister a database before you detach a database.

To unregister a database:

1.     Launch Touchstone.

2.     Access the Data Source Manager.

3.     Select the database or databases that you want to unregister.

A check mark appears in the first column for each selected database.

4.     Click Unregister.

The database is still selected, but the Registered status is "No".
