Reinsurance Defaults Tab

The Reinsurance Defaults tab, which applies only to primary property and primary workers' compensation policies, contains the following fields:

Reinsurance on Primary Policies

Reinsurance Type

Specifies the default value, Facultative or Surplus Share, that Touchstone should use to fill in a blank Reinsurance Type field in your imported reinsurance data.

The Reinsurance Type field represents the type of reinsurance, that is, facultative or surplus share, for the reinsurance treaties or certificates.

Facultative

Exposure Type

Specifies the value, Location or Layer, that Touchstone should use to fill in a blank Exposure Type field in your imported reinsurance data.

The Exposure Type field represents the type of exposure to which to apply the reinsurance treaties or certificates.

Location

Ceded Percentage

Specifies the value that Touchstone should use to fill in a blank Ceded Percentage field in your imported reinsurance data.

The Ceded Percentage field represents the ceded percentage for the reinsurance treaties or certificates. Enter the ceded percentage only as a number between "0" and "1"; for example, enter 0.5 for 50%. After import, Touchstone displays this information in the Ceded Amount field on the Reinsurance tab.

After editing the settings on this tab, click Apply to apply the changes.
