Value Mapping Window

Value mapping helps you to complete imports successfully by mapping custom, user-defined terms in the fields that you have mapped within your import files to valid Touchstone values. For example, you can map user-defined peril codes, such as "Hurr" (hurricane) and "Terr" (terrorism) to AIR-recognized peril codes, such as "TC" (tropical cyclone) and "TR" (terrorism). Touchstone converts these mapped values to the corresponding Touchstone values during the import process.

In the Value Mapping window, perform the following actions:

On the Contract, Location, Reinsurance, and Step Function tabs, click Scan to scan your import files for unrecognized values. Then, map any unrecognized values to valid Touchstone entries. For detailed information, see Value Mapping.

When you have finished editing the settings on a tab, click Apply to apply the changes. When you have finished editing the settings on all the tabs, click OK.

For more information about editing mapping sets, see Editing Mapping Sets.
