Importing a Reinsurance Submission Package

You can import the CEDE2 and RPX files from an exported Reinsurance Submission Package (RSP) into Touchstone.

 

Before you import an RSP, ensure that the destination exposure database has been attached and registered on the appropriate Touchstone SQL Server.

To import an RSP:

1.     On the global menu bar, click Import and select Reinsurance Package.

2.     In  the Import Reinsurance Submission Package window, complete the options:

a.     Browse to the Input folder containing the package to be imported, highlight the folder and then click Select Folder.

The reinsurance program name is automatically filled in.

b.     In the Project Name field, enter a new project name or select an existing project.

c.     In the Exposures grid, enter an exposure view name or, if you selected an existing project, select an existing exposure view.

d.     Optionally, select Auto-generate Exposure Summary.

e.     Optionally, select the currency and rate.

f.       Click Import.

3.     Check the Activity Monitor for the status of the RSP Import activity.

4.     When the activity is completed, perform the following steps to verify the successful import:

a.     Open the project into which you imported the reinsurance program.

b.     In the navigation pane, select Reinsurance.

The imported reinsurance program should appear in the list of programs in the Reinsurance Programs pane.
