The Touchstone Exposure Data Validation Reference includes support for updated models and enhancements.

The Country Data Lookup Tool, which is available on AIR’s Client Portal, is a macro-enabled Microsoft Excel workbook that provides exposure-related data on a per-country basis, including ISO country codes, CRESTAs, Areas, Subarea support, Subareas (counties) for the United States, Postal code support, Currency codes, Construction and occupancy class regions, AIR construction codes, and AIR occupancy codes.

New and Updated Models

Touchstone 5.1

•       AIR Inland Flood Model for Japan: AIR's newest model explicitly models the effects of non-typhoon-related pluvial and fluvial inland flood on properties in Japan.

•       AIR Typhoon Model for Japan: Updates to this existing model include effects of typhoon-induced precipitation flooding, wind, and storm surge on properties in Japan. This model is compatible with the new AIR Inland Flood Model for Japan.

•       Touchstone 5.1 geocoding data: Sonpo data has been updated. In addition, new logic has been included to find partial Sonpo codes in the event that incorrect Sonpo data is entered.

Touchstone 5.0

The following models are new to, or have been updated in, Touchstone 5.0. New and/or updated loss files are available for each of these models. Refer to the AIR model documentation, available on the Client Portal, for detailed information about each model.

Exposure Data Enhancements

This reference includes support, as applicable for the following exposure data enhancements. Refer to the AIR model documentation, available on the Client Portal, for detailed information about the modeled perils, construction classes, and occupancy classes, for each model.

•       Support for additional construction codes for the United States region, including: 259, 260 (Miscellaneous); 270-276 (Marine Craft); 2010-2013, 2015-2016, 2021-2022, 2031 (Bridge Construction); 2131, 2132, 2141-2142, 2150-2152 (Tunnel Construction); 2210-2211, 2221, 2231-2233, 2241-2243, 2251-2253, 2261-2263 (Storage Tank Construction); 2270-2276, 2281-2286 (Pipeline Construction)

•       Added construction codes 262 and 263 to Automobile Construction.

•       Additional support for marine exposures for conveyor systems, canals & earth-retaining structures, waterfront structures, offshore structures, transit warehouse, marine hull, pleasure boats & yachts, carpool, various cargo codes, builder's risk, and offshore platforms and mobile, in the US, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea/China, South America, and Australia. Support for each code varies by region.

•       Expansion of industrial facilities 400-series code for Australia Severe Thunderstorm and Japan Inland Flood.

•       Occupancy code 381 is now supported for the United States.
