Viewing the List of Databases
The Data Source Manager window displays the list and number of databases on the SQL Server to which you are currently connected.
Procedure
To view the list of databases:
- Launch Touchstone.

Access the Data
Source Manager.
The grid displays the following information about each database:

Name
-
Type
-
Version
-
Registration status: Registered databases are CEDE 2.0 databases with which Touchstone can interact. There are two types: EXP (exposure databases) and RES (results databases). Unregistered databases are CEDE 2.0 databases that have been attached but not registered and unknown types of databases.

-
Status (online or unknown)
-
Growth in megabytes

MDF and LDF paths : Primary Data Files, which use the extension *.mdf, are database files installed with SQL Server or created by users. Log Data Files, which use the extension *.ldf, are SQL Server transaction log files.
