Performing a Validation diagnostic
This topic describes how to run a Data Quality analysis with a Validate Data diagnostic.
Procedure
To run a Data Quality analysis with a Validation diagnostic:
- Create a new Data Quality analysis.
- [Optional] In the New Data Quality Analysis pane, select additional targets.

To configure completeness rules:
- To configure reasonability rules, select Validate Data and then select Reasonability. Select the a rule set from the list and then click Options. Follow the same steps described for configuring the completeness rules.

To narrow the scope of the exposure data being analyzed, click
Analysis Filters.
You can choose to analyze only those exposures with a total replacement value above or below a specific value.
- Click Analysis Management to configure analysis-specific functions.
- [Optional] In the Analysis Prefix field, enter a prefix to distinguish between analysis results when you run an analysis with multiple targets.

In the Analysis Name field:
- If the analysis target is a single exposure view or contract, leave the default, which is the exposure view name or the contract ID and the type of analysis, or enter a unique alphanumeric identifier.
- If the analysis target includes multiple exposure views or contracts, you cannot change the default name, which is "Auto name ('n' items)".
Note:
Entering some combination of the exposure view name along with the analysis type enables you to quickly find result sets in the Activity Monitor.

Click Run.
Touchstone adds the project to the Activity Monitor queue for processing when the required system resources are available.
- View the analysis results.
