Specify the export destination

Specify the destination, folder or database, for your exported data.

The destination fields depend on the export type. If you are exporting to a folder, make sure that the folder is correctly shared so that ExportExpress can write to it. You can export currency rate settings to a folder.

Procedure

  1. In the Destination Path field, browse to or type the path to the target folder using this UNC (Uniform Naming Convention) format: \\Server_Name\Shared_Folder_Name.
    Example: \\MyComputer\Exports
  2. In the File Name field, leave the default file name, or enter a new file name.
  3. Click Export to finish the export to the target folder.
  4. To export to a database:
    1. In the Database field, select the target database, or enter a unique name to create a database.
    2. If you are exporting exposure data, enter a prefix in the Exposure Prefix field.
This is required if you select Exclude Insured Name and Exclude Premium broker options.
    3. If you are exporting loss data, select the target project or enter a unique name to create a project.
The Project field is not available if you entered a unique name in the Database field.
    4. If you specified a new project, select a currency and exchange rate in the Project Currency field.
    5. Click Export to finish the export.
