View import logs

Import logs provide useful information, especially if you need to troubleshoot an import.

Procedure

  1. On the global menu bar, click Tools > Activity Monitor.
  2. Highlight the import activity for which you want to view the log.
  3. Right-click the activity and then select View Logs, or click View Log on the ribbon and then select View Logs.
  4. On the shortcut menu, click the log that you want to open or click Open All to open all the logs at the same time in your default text editor.
    You can view information about the Summary, Detailed, Operational, and Excel Combined logs.
  5. To save all the log files as separate text files, select Save All Text, select the destination, and then click Save.
    Touchstone saves each log in this format: <Activity_Name>.<Activity_Number>.<LogType>.txt , where <LogType> can have one of the following values: “Summary”, “Detailed”, “Operational".
