Interpreting Industry Data Comparison Results

Views

By default, Touchstone opens to the Average Replacement Value view in the Report Detail Viewer. In addition to the Average Replacement Value view, you can select one of three views. Based on the view that you select, you can group the results by different categories.

•       Average Replacement

•       Construction Mix Comparison

•       Occupancy Mix Comparison

•       Market Share

Overview

To view basic information about the results set, in the sidebar click Show/Hide Content Items and then select the Overview check box. Information includes:

•       Analysis Information: The analysis name, output type (such as "Data Quality Score"), and  ID; the name of the person who submitted the analysis, the date of the submission, and the project currency.

•       Exposure scope analyzed: Total counts of important exposure data analyzed in the results set, including the number of exposure sets, policies, and locations, and the total replacement value.

You can use the Notes field to record notes, observations, or identifying information for the selected results set.

Summary

To view summary information about the results set, in the sidebar click Show/Hide Content Items and then select the Summary check box.

The Summary window displays pie charts that compare your exposure data (Client) to the industry data (Industry). As you move the pointer over a pie chart segment, the system displays information. For example, if you move the pointer over the Client Line of Business pie chart, it may indicate that your exposure is 100% Commercial; if you move the pointer over the same segment in the Industry Line of Business pie chart, it may indicate that your Commercial exposure is 38.5%.

Map

To view the Average Replacement Value on a map, select Average Replacement Value in the View list and then select the grouping, such as by country. In the sidebar click Show/Hide Content Items and then select the Map check box.
