Unknown Construction / Unknown Occupancy Combinations |
AIR provides construction and occupancy codes to represent cases in which the construction class and/or unknown occupancy type are unknown. For onshore locations, the construction class code 100 represents unknown construction, while the occupancy class code 300 represents unknown occupancy. For offshore locations, the construction class code 800 represents unknown construction, while the occupancy class code 900 represents unknown occupancy.
Touchstone also supports non-AIR construction and occupancy class codes, although AIR always recommends translating non-AIR codes to AIR codes wherever possible before importing your data. For more information, see Non-AIR Construction Class Codes and Non-AIR Occupancy Class Codes. |
If you attempt to import a location with a blank construction or occupancy code, AIR ImportExpress rejects this location. However, note that you can specify default construction and occupancy class codes for comma-separated values (CSV) imports. |
