After selecting the
import file, you specify the destination database, exposure
set, and (optional) exposure view for the ACORD-formatted exposure data you
want to import.
Procedure
To set the destination for imported data:
-
View the currently specified SQL server.
-
Select the target database in which you want to save the imported data,
or, to create a new database to store the imported data, enter a
unique database name.
With Touchstone
4.0, the
Database field is pre-populated
with the default database specified on the Server
Definition pane.
-
In the Exposure Set Name list, select the target
exposure set in which you want to save the imported data, or, to
create a new exposure set for the imported data, enter a unique
exposure set name.
-
To create a new exposure view or add to an existing exposure view
during the import:
-
Select the Create an Exposure View
(in a New or Existing Project) check box.
-
In the Projects field, select the
project in which you want to create the new exposure view
or add to an existing exposure view.
Alternatively, to create a new project during the
import, type a name for the new project.
-
If you created a new project, in the Project
Currency field, select the currency and
exchange rate to apply to the project.
The project currency settings override the business
unit currency settings.
-
In the Exposure Views field, enter a
name for the new exposure view that you want to create
during the import.
Alternatively, to add the data that you are importing
to an existing exposure view, select an exposure
view.
-
To auto-generate an exposure view summary during the
import, select the Auto-generate exposure
summary check box.
Next Steps
After defining the destination data source, AIR recommends that you configure
the import
options.
