Specifying Non-Catastrophe Peril Analysis Settings

The Analysis Settings diagnostic enables you to configure non-catastrophe peril analysis settings, such as selecting the method for calculating ground-up losses, the loss cost adjustment factor, and the public protection class (PPC).

Procedure

To specify non-catastrophe peril analysis settings:

  1. Create a new non-catastrophe peril analysis.
  2. Under Loss Diagnostics, click Analysis Settings.

    The Analysis Settings pane appears.

  3. Select the Non Catastrophe Peril Analysis check box.
  4. Specify the advanced settings, including desired behaviors for unknown PPC (Public Protection Class) and fire sprinkler characteristics.

  5. Specify the method of calculating the ground-up losses.

  6. [Optional] Specify the loss cost adjustment factor.

  7. Specify how you want Touchstone to handle existing ground-up loss values.

  8. If you licensed the Verisk Analytics ISO PSOLD, select the Distribute Losses to Excess Layers option and configure the corresponding options.

    Note:

    Administrators can create loss analysis templates to specify defaults for non-catastrophe peril analysis settings.
