Importing a Project
Touchstone enables you to import a project that another Touchstone user previously exported. The project file names, files, and folder structure must be unmodified (file names and content) and must be available.
If you are importing a project from Touchstone 6.0 or Touchstone 7.0, consider the following requirements and notes:
There must be a valid project (
*.prj
) file. The CEDE exposure databases, reinsurance program files (*.rpx), loss templates, and currency tables must be in the specified location.
Touchstone must have sufficient permissions to access the file location and the SQL server.
If Touchstone cannot upgrade the databases, it cancels the entire Import job. However, any databases that were successfully attached and upgraded before the job failed will be available.
Since Touchstone performs several database functions automatically, the following SQL Server permissions must be associated with the Touchstone instance:
-
The Touchstone Service Account must have Administrator privileges on the database machine.
-
The Touchstone Service Account must have a valid SQL login.
-
The SQL Server Service Account must have administrator privileges on the folder where Touchstone stores MDF files by default.
