Downgrade Touchstone exposure database
Improvements to accelerate downgrade of the Touchstone exposure database.
Previously, we provided clients with database downgrade scripts to run outside the Touchstone user interface, which allowed clients to downgrade their exposure databases from the current version to a prior version. However, clients with numerous exposure databases found that their downgrades using the database scripts were time-consuming. Some clients always want to be on the latest version of Touchstone so that they can take advantage of new models and functionality. At the same time, these clients also had vendors who were on different Touchstone release versions. To automate the downgrade process, we have implemented a public API service in the Data Source Management module.
- You cannot use the public API service to downgrade the Touchstone Result database.
Downgrade the current version to a previous version of the Touchstone exposure database
The new public API service enables users to identify which attached and eligible current exposure database(s) they want to downgrade to the prior version. The downgrade works only on databases with the same SQL Server version. If the original and target download databases are not using the same SQL Server version, contact Verisk Technical Support for assistance. The exposure databases which are older than the current Touchstone environment version is not eligible for downgrade.
