Marginal impact analysis
Enhancements for marginal Impact analysis in Touchstone.
This enhancement streamlines the import and export of administrative boundaries and marginal impact boundary peril templates in Touchstone. Clients create administrative boundaries and peril combinations across Touchstone business units (BUs) and environments. They use administrative boundaries to configure the Loss Modification analysis and Marginal Impact Boundary Peril templates. For many clients, the list of administrative boundaries has expanded over time; in the current workflow users must manually create or update individual administrative boundaries templates when sharing in new environments or BUs. Therefore, reusing templates across BUs and environments has been a time-consuming process. For audit reasons, some clients want to be able to share the boundary peril templates between different Touchstone environments and/or between different BUs in the same Touchstone environment.
Enhancements
This release includes the following enhancements that address the issues:
- Support for exporting and importing Marginal Impact Boundary Peril templates via both the Administration Console in the Touchstone user interface and our Object Management public API services.
- Support for importing and exporting administration boundaries for Marginal Impact Boundary Peril objects using the Object Management public API services.
Import administrative boundaries
You can import a new administrative boundary into the target BU or a Touchstone environment using the new SubmitImportAdminBoundary method. This method enables you to propagate administrative boundaries between business units within a single Touchstone environment or between different Touchstone environments.
Export administrative boundaries
You can export administrative boundaries using the new SubmitExportAdminBoundary method. This method lets you export a single Marginal Impact Boundary Peril template for a given request. You can configure the input options such as the administrative boundary object and the path to where you want to export the boundaries.
Import Marginal Impact Boundary Peril templates
You can import the Marginal Impact Boundary Peril templates into Touchstone using the public API service. We implemented a new SubmitImportMarginalImpactBoundaryPeril method that allows you to import a Marginal Impact Boundary Peril template per request into Touchstone.
Export Marginal Impact Boundary Peril templates
We implemented a new SubmitExportMarginalImpactBoundaryPeril method that allows you to export the existing boundary peril templates into different Touchstone environments or BUs.
Include sub-perils in a Marginal impact analysis
-
Assign different sub-perils for each portfolio and run different portfolios to retrieve losses associated with each subperil.
-
Run contracts against reference portfolios for each unique subperil.
