ImportExpress reference

This topic provides a reference for ImportExpress fields used to import exposure data into Touchstone.

For information about the validation rules for each import exposure field , refer to the Touchstone Exposure Data Validation Reference on www.unicede.com.

There is a minimum set of fields required for a successful import and there are default values that you can specify for ImportExpress to use to fill in blank fields in your exposure data.

ImportExpress assists with the import process by providing features that enable you to:

  • Automap column headings when using .csv (comma-separated values) import files.
  • Perform value mapping, where you map user-defined terms in your import data to the corresponding valid Touchstone values.

ImportExpress can automap acceptable .csv file column names and fields for which ImportExpress can perform value mapping.

Note:

We recommend that you review the import files before importing them, avoiding special characters that may cause geocoding, validation, and import errors:

  • $ (dollar)
  • + (plus)
  • _ (hyphen)
  • - (minus)
  • \ (backslash)
  • & (ampersand)

ImportExpress rounds all imported monetary values (such as layer limits and replacement values) to the nearest whole number if these values contain decimal places.
