Add new demand surge

Customize your US-derived demand surge.

Admin > Administration Console > Loss Defaults > Demand Surge > US-derived >

Note:

The US-derived tab does not support the ability to create new demand surge curves or modify demand surge factors.

Parameters and buttons Description
Common buttons Use these buttons (when applicable) and the parameters below to create a new demand surge curve.
Starting Point Enter the beginning dollar value of the industry loss range. Typically, the industry loss range starts at $0.
Ending Point Enter the final dollar value in the industry loss range.
Increment For each step in the industry loss range, enter the dollar value by which you want to increment the industry loss.

For example: If you have a range that starts at $0 and ends at $10 billion and you enter an Increment value of $2 billion, the steps in your industry loss range will be $0, $2 billion, $4 billion, $6 billion, $8 billion, and $10 billion. This means that one set of demand surge factors will be applied to industry losses between $0 and $1,999,999,999, another set between $2 billion and $3,999,999,999, and so on.

Create The application appends "_Custom" to the end of the region name. The grid displays the number of steps in the custom curve. Make additional adjustments as needed in the Demand Surge pane.

Touchstone automatically sets the new custom curve as the default. If you do not want this to be the default, clear the Set as Default check box.
