Importing Data from EDM Exposure Databases |
Even when data is not stored in an open data format, AIR supports the import of data that is stored in proprietary RMS EDM (exposure data model) databases. The exposure data must be on the same server.
AIR also provides a standalone data conversion tool, the EDM Data Converter (EDC) that converts data from EDM format into a format compatible with Touchstone. An integrated EDC is available within Touchstone. The EDC produces a collection of three CSV files that you can import into Touchstone. For information about choosing the most suitable tool and about installing and using it, refer to the AIR EDM Data Converter User's Guide on the AIR Client Portal. |
To import data from EDM exposure databases:
1. On the global menu bar, click Import > Exposure > EDM Format.
The Import & Mapping Data tab appears.
3. Set the destination for the imported data by specifying the database and (optional) exposure view or exposure view suffix for the data that you want to import.
4. Configure the import options.
5. Optionally, deselect Close on Import to keep the Import Project window open after you submit the import job.
6. Click Import.
You can check the status of the import job and review logs in the Activity Monitor.
The Import statuses are Completed, Completed With Exceptions, and Failed. |
To view logs in Touchstone, you must first configure Notepad or WordPad as the default application for opening text files on your computer. |
