You can select the area, sub area, and CRESTA zone from lists populated with values based on the selected ISO 2-character Country code and, in the case of the Sub Area field, based on the selected CRESTA zone. When countries have both area and CRESTA zone information, the Sub Area field displays values only when there is a dependency between the CRESTA or Area fields and the Sub Area fields. (This change does not apply to 3-character offshore country codes.) In addition, the address columns have been rearranged in the user interface: Street, City, Country, Area, CRESTA, Sub Area, Postal, Geocode Match Level, Latitude, and Longitude.

Note:

If you select a country, such as “Togo”, for which there is no information in the AIR Geography database, and you then select the Area, CRESTA Zone, or Sub Area field, the list displays a blank field in which you cannot manually enter data. The only way that you can enter data in those columns is to make sure that they are included in the import file.

When you change the Country (ISO Code) in the Locations grid, Touchstone automatically clears the Area (State), Sub Area (County) and Postal fields. When you change the Area (State) field, Touchstone automatically clears the Sub Area (County) and Postal fields. When you change the Sub Area (County) field, Touchstone automatically clears the Postal field.

If you change higher resolution address data, such as the latitude or longitude, Touchstone does not automatically backfill the lower resolution address data, such as the Area (State) value.

You can select an item from a list by (1) clicking the item or (2) by scrolling through the list until the item you want to select is highlighted and then pressing Enter. For example, select United States in the Country (ISO Code) column. Then, in the Area (State) column, click the down arrow and then select Washington. Or, click the down arrow and then, when the list is displayed, use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to scroll through the list until the item you want to select is highlighted. Then press Enter.

The following table describes the Touchstone location fields related to the address of this location:

Note:

For detailed information about supplying address data for locations, including the minimum and maximum geographic resolutions that Touchstone supports for each modeled country, see Using Geocoding in Touchstone on the AIR Client Portal.
