Deleting Contracts

Deleting contracts.

When you delete contracts, you remove them from the contract list and from the associated databases. In addition, when you delete any contracts against which you ran a Contract Loss analysis, you also delete the Contract Loss analysis results.

Procedure

To delete one or more contracts in Portfolio Mode:

  1. Open a project.
  2. Open an exposure view.
  3. In the Contract List grid, highlight the contract or contracts that you want to delete.

Click in the first cell of a row to select a single contract that you want to delete, without opening the contract. To higlight multiple rows, hold down Ctrl and click in the cell, or highlight a row, click Shift, and then select the last row you want to highlight.

  4. Click (Delete), or right-click on the highlighted rows and then click Delete on the shortcut menu.

If you selected one contract, the You're about to delete 1 Contract. dialog box appears with the insured name and contract ID. If you previously ran a Contract Loss analysis against the contract, the dialog box also lists the artifacts (Detailed Loss Results) that will be deleted. If you selected multiple contracts, the You're about to delete <n> Contract. dialog box does not list all the artifacts associated with the contracts; this is because the contracts may include many artifacts. However, the dialog box does display the number of loss results that will be deleted for each contract.

  5. Click Delete.

Results

Touchstone deletes the contracts and artifacts.
