Touchstone supports international deterministic terrorism event sets. Your Touchstone installation includes event set files for each peril and region that your company licenses. The event list may include real-time event sets (EVI files) that you have downloaded from the AIR ALERT™ Worldwide website. You can select terrorism event sets during a Detailed Loss Analysis only if you have licensed the Terrorism peril for the appropriate countries/regions.

Users can create custom terrorism event sets by adding them from the Event Set Management pane, or by exporting Geospatial Analysis ring results to a Ring to Terrorism Event Set.

All users can create custom terrorism event sets. See Roles.

The Event Set Management pane enables you to perform the following tasks:

View additional details about an event set
Import event sets from the ALERT website
Add a custom terrorism event set
Modify a custom event set
Delete a custom event set
Import a custom model created in Touchstone Model Builder

Note:

You cannot modify AIR event sets in any way; you cannot delete them or modify descriptive details about the event sets. You can only delete user-created event sets and modify descriptive details about user-created event sets (event set name, event set description, title, and comments).


Parameters and Buttons	Description
Common Buttons	Use these buttons (when applicable) to view, create, modify, import, and delete event sets.
Event Set Name	Displays the name of each event set configured in Touchstone.
Type	Displays the type of each event set. Event set types include External, Historical, RDS (Lloyd's® Realistic Disaster Scenarios), Stochastic, and User.
Author	Displays the author of each event set.
Date Created	Displays the date on which each event set was created.

Viewing Event Set Details

To view additional details about an event set, double-click the row containing the event set within the event set grid or highlight the row containing the event set and then click Open .

If you selected an AIR event set, the Event Set Details (View Only) window appears. You cannot edit anything in this window.
If you selected a Ring to Terrorism event set, the Event Set Details window appears. You can edit the event set title and comments.
If you selected a non-AIR event set, such as a custom terrorism event set, the Event Set: Deterministic Terrorism Details window appears. You can edit the event set name, description, and event name.

Modifying a Custom Event Set

To modify a user-created, custom terrorism event set, created by clicking Add in the Event Set Management pane, double-click the row containing the event set within the event set grid or highlight the row containing the event set within the event set grid and click Edit . The Event Set: Deterministic Terrorism Details window appears. You can add custom terrorism events to, import custom terrorism events into, or delete custom terrorism events from this event set. You can also modify the name and description for this event set.

Note:

This does not apply to Ring to Terrorism event sets, which users create by exporting Geospatial ring analysis results to a terrorism event set. Users can only modify the title and comments for these events set.

Deleting a Custom Event Set

To delete a custom, non-AIR event set, select the desired event set within the event set grid and click Delete .
