Working with Rule Sets

The Validate Data and Augment diagnostics use rule sets to assess and update key location attributes that can affect modeled losses.

Rule sets for Validate Data:
- Completeness
- Reasonability
Rule sets for Augment
- Property-Specific Data (from AIR's Property-specific database)
- User-Specified Values (location updates))

You use the Rule Set Manager to view, add, edit, delete, and manage rule sets.

Note:

Rule sets are stored on the same database server as the CEDE database where you are running Data Quality Analyses. Therefore, if you switch database servers at any time while using Data Quality Analysis, a different list of rule sets will be available to you. While a rule set on one server can have the same name as a rule set on another server, AIR recommends that you avoid confusion by giving unique names to all rule sets.
