Upgrading Databases
The Upgrade utility can convert Touchstone databases to the latest version. The Upgrade Database icon ( ) is dimmed if a database cannot be upgraded to Touchstone.
If you choose to preserve results, Touchstone stores them in the Result database; however, the results are not available in the user interface.
Procedure
To upgrade a database:
- Launch Touchstone.
- Access the Data Source Manager.
- Attach the database or databases that you want to upgrade.
- Select the database or databases that you want to upgrade.

On the ribbon, click Upgrade.
The Upgrade Options dialog box opens.

Select the upgrade options.
The system displays only the options relevant to the selected database or databases. The table describes the effect of your selections.

Workers' Compensation Data
Preserves the Workers' Compensation values after the upgrade.
Resets the Workers' Compensation values to the current defaults.
Results Databases

Geospatial Results
The upgrade marks the results as invalid while preserving all data. The results are listed in the database, but are not viewable in the user interface.
Deletes all data in the AIR Project and Result databases.
Hazard Results
The upgrade marks the results as invalid while preserving all data. The results are listed in the database but are not viewable in the user interface.
Deletes all data in the AIR Project and Result databases.

Click Upgrade and then click
Refresh.
The database is upgraded and the new version is registered.
