Specifying Analysis Management Settings

Before submitting a loss or geospatial analysis, you can modify the settings for Touchstone to use during the analysis. You can specify the desired currency and exchange rate table, the number of cores to use for the analysis, the priority of the analysis, and the result database where Touchstone stores the analysis results. For Detailed Loss Analysis that you run in Portfolio Mode, you can choose to run the analysis as soon as possible or to schedule the analysis for a future date and time. For a Geospatial Analysis, Execute Immediately is the only option.

Procedure

To specify analysis management settings for an analysis:

  1. Navigate to the Analysis Management pane.
  2. Specify the analysis management settings.
  3. In the Analysis Name field, enter the analysis name.

For a Detailed Loss Analysis: If the analysis target is a single exposure view or contract, you can leave the default, which is the exposure view name or the contract ID and the type of analysis, or you can enter a unique alphanumeric identifier.

If the analysis target includes multiple exposure views or contracts, you cannot change the default name, which is Auto name ('n' items).

    Tip:

When the analysis target is a single exposure view or contract, entering some combination of the exposure view name or the contract ID along with the analysis type enables you to find result sets quickly in the Activity Monitor.

  4. Optionally, in the Analysis Prefix field, enter a prefix to distinguish between analysis results when you run an analysis with multiple targets.

Touchstone generates separate analysis results for each analysis target.

  5. Click Run.
