Import data from external sources
You can import exposure data, map layers, projects, and reinsurance packages from external sources into Touchstone databases.
Projects and exposure views
Projects are a useful way to organize your data. They contain exposure views that contain the data that you want to focus on.
Geospatial analysis
Geospatial analysis enables you to perform a deterministic risk analysis with your own view of risk on accumulations of property exposures and workers' compensation information in given areas exposed to natural and man-made catastrophes.

Verisk provides a reference containing information about Touchstone exposure data.
Data Quality analysis
The most effective way to assess and enhance portfolio-level or contract-level catastrophe exposure data is to use Touchstone's Data Quality diagnostics. These diagnostics enable you to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the exposure data you are using for analyses and supplement that data when it is missing or weak.
Hazard analysis
Hazard analysis enable you to identify the relevant catastrophe hazards for locations in your exposure data.

Touchstone enables you to model catastrophic (CAT) events to estimate property and workers' compensation losses.

About the Touchstone global menu bar

Use Touchstone's global menu bar to access application functions.

Import

Exposure: Enables you to import exposure data into Touchstone:
- Comma Separated Values (CSV)
- EDM Format
Map Layer: Enables you to import map layers from vector or raster files.
Project: Enables you to import a project that another Touchstone user previously exported and shared with you.

Export

Exposure: Enables you to export the following items from Touchstone:
- Exposure to CSV
- UNICEDE/2/Associate Exposure
- Exposure to Database
Results: Enables you to export the results of your analyses:
- Company Loss File (CLF)/Associate Loss File
- Loss to CSV
- Loss to Database
- Loss to AnalyzeRe
- Geospatial to CSV
- Ring to Terrorism Event Set
- Data Quality to CSV
- Hazard to CSV
Reports: Enables you to export the following reports:
- Risk Management Summary Reports
- Florida Commission Reports
Project: Enables you to export data, such as exposure view definitions, associated with any project in your business unit.

Activity Monitor: Enables you to monitor the status of all activities. You can also open the activity monitor by clicking on the far right of the global menu bar.
Data Source Manager: Enables you to manage Touchstone databases.
Model Builder: Enables you to modify our damage functions.

Admin

Administration Console: Enables authorized users to manage a suite of administrative tasks.

Help

Touchstone Help: Launches the Help system. You can also launch the Help system by clicking .
Client Portal: Opens Verisk's Client Portal website where you have to log in.
Email Support: Provides an email link for support, and company contact information.
About Touchstone: Displays information about the application, terms, and conditions.

User Information

This pane displays the user name and email, user role, business unit, mode, Touchstone Client information, database information, and license expiration date.
