Precipitation flood options
Precipitation flooding, which is modeled only for Japan, India, Australia, Caribbean, and United States Tropical Cyclone exposures, accounts for flooding that accompanies tropical cyclones.
You can include an estimate of the separately modeled precipitation flood losses when calculating losses for tropical cyclone events.
Note: Precipitation flood does not apply for workers' compensation policies.
You can set the precipitation flood percentage for each line of business (LOB)
associated with the target for a catastrophe peril analysis. You can specify a single
precipitation flood percentage that applies to the entire analysis or you can specify a
precipitation flood percentage by individual LOBs.
