Import & Mapping Data Tab (CSV)

 

The Import & Mapping Data tab for CSV contract and exposure data import contains the following fields and buttons:

Field

Description

Mapping Set and File Selection

Policy Type

(Required) Specifies the policy type that you want to import. Select one of the following values:

       Facultative Property

       Facultative Workers' Compensation

       Primary Property

       Primary Workers' Compensation

Mapping Set

(Required) Specifies the mapping set that you want to use to tell Touchstone how to interpret the exposure data in each column in your import files. You can perform the following mapping set management functions:

        Create a New Mapping Set

        Import an existing mapping set

        Duplicate a mapping set

        Rename a mapping set

        Export a mapping set

        Delete a mapping set

Contracts

(Required) Specifies the contracts file that you want to import. Click and select the desired contracts file. For more information about importing CSV contracts files, see Importing CSV Files.

Locations

(Required) Specifies the locations file that you want to import. Click and select the desired locations file. For more information about importing CSV locations files, see Importing CSV Files.

Reinsurance

Specifies the reinsurance file that you want to import. Click and select the desired reinsurance file. For more information about importing CSV reinsurance files, see Importing CSV Files.

Step Function

Specifies the step function  file that you want to import. Click and select the desired step function  file. For more information about importing CSV step function  files, see Importing CSV Files.

Refresh source data

Enables you to refresh the source data on the Import & Mapping Data tab.

Files have headers

Specifies whether your import files contain header values (column labels) in the first row of each column. Select this check box if your import files contain headers, and you do not want Touchstone to import these header values. Clear this check box if you want Touchstone to import the data in the first row of each file  and to use generic column headers (F1, F2, etc.).

Edit Mappings

Enables you to map fields in your source data files that AIR ImportExpress did not recognize during the automapping process. You can also set defaults for contracts, locations, and reinsurance files. For detailed information about editing mappings, see Editing Mapping Sets.

Scan Mappings

Enables you to ensure that Touchstone has mapped all codes and values in your import files were mapped to acceptable Touchstone values. For detailed information about mapping values, see Value Mapping.

Destination Data Source and Exposure Set

SQL Server

Displays the currently specified SQL server into which Touchstone will import your data.

Database

(Required) Specifies the target database in which you want Touchstone to save your imported data. Select the desired database or create a new database by entering a unique database name.

Exposure Set Name

(Required) Specifies the target exposure set in which you want to save your imported data. Select the desired exposure set or create a new exposure set by entering a unique exposure set name.

Create an Exposure View (in a New or Existing Project)

Specifies whether you want to create/specify an exposure view during the import process. If you want to create/specify an exposure view during the import process, select this check box. Then, select or enter the desired project and exposure view. If you do not want to create an exposure view during the import process, clear this check box.

Projects

Specifies the name of the project that contains the exposure view into which you want to import your data during the import process. Select the project in which you want to create the new exposure view or add to an existing exposure view. Alternately, to create a new project during the import, enter a name for the new project.

Project Currency If you created a new project in the Projects field, specify the currency and exchange rate to use in the project.

Touchstone uses the project currency to display monetary values in the exposure summary dashboard and run analyses. You can change the project currency at any time.

The project currency overrides the global currency rate settings in the Administration Console.

Exposure Views

Specifies the name of the exposure view into which you want to import your data during the import process. Enter a name for the new exposure view that you want to create during the import process. Alternately, to add the data that you are importing into an existing exposure view, select the desired exposure view.

Auto-generate exposure summary

Specifies whether you want to auto-generate an exposure view summary during the import process. If you want to auto-generate an exposure view summary during the import process, select this check box. If you do not want to auto-generate an exposure view summary during the import process, clear this check box.

  When creating an exposure view summary during the import process, Touchstone uses the currency that you have specified in the Currency field on the Options tab.
