Deleting Projects

Deleting projects.

You can delete projects that you no longer need.

Note:

Items that you do not select for deletion remain accessible. Since results and exposure views are always associated with projects, you may want to save them in an offline database when you remove the associated project. Since exposure sets may be associated with other projects and exposure views, Touchstone flags any exposure views that refer to deleted exposure sets so that you are aware that the exposure view is not current with the expected data.

Procedure

To delete projects:

  1. Navigate to the Home page.
  2. In the Projects pane, highlight the project or projects that you want to delete.

Make sure that you do not click the project name. (Clicking the project name opens the project.)

  3. Click (Delete).

The 'You're about to delete <n> Project(s) confirmation dialog box appears.

  4. Select the projects and any associated project items (called "artifacts") that you want to delete.

Artifacts that you can delete include results, exposure sets, and reinsurance programs. If you selected multiple projects, the associated artifacts that you select apply for all the selected projects. The Exposure Views is not available for deletion; this is because Touchstone requires deletion of exposure views associated with the selected project or projects.

  5. Click Delete.

Results

The application deletes the projects and the artifacts that you selected. Although a deleted project cannot be undeleted, it remains in the database until a database administrator purges it. The database administrator manages the servers via the Server Definition function in the Administration Console.
