Custom Legends
You create map legends only during the Map Layer Import process; you cannot create legends through the Object Manager.
The Custom Legends pane enables you to edit and delete custom legends. You can view read-only copies of AIR provided system legends, but can never delete them.
You can edit the legend name and its description, and change some of the options, such as the global controls. You cannot use non-numeric fields with a banded ranges legend.
The Legend field is automatically selected based on the import file metadata when a legend is associated with the map layer during the import process. You cannot change the Legend field.
Refer to Legend Types or information about the three types of legends.
Certain parameters, such as units, number of bands, value, minimum, and maximum, are available only with certain legend types.
