Templates

Templates enable you to save analysis options so that you do not have to reselect a complex configuration each time you configure and run an analysis. You can use templates across projects. You can create, delete, copy (Save As), and update templates, depending on your permissions. In some cases, you can import and export templates.

Note:

You cannot delete the default AIR templates. A lock icon next to a template in the templates list identifies the AIR default templates.

Usage notes

  • Analysis configuration panes include a Template list in the upper right corner. You can use the default template or select a different template.

  • Templates are available only in the business unit in which they were created.

  • Deleting templates does not affect any previously run analyses. The settings for the analyses are stored in the results.

  • You can import and export templates via different formats depending on the type of template: text (CSV), XML, and LMTF.

    Note:

For Loss Analysis templates and Loss Modification Templates with the LMTF extension, you can import from and export to local paths. For Loss Modification templates with the CSV extension, you can import from a local file, but you cannot export to a local file. The Geocode Match Mapping Set template supports import from and export to local paths.

  • The Object Manager validates the templates when you create them, ensuring that the rules in a template do not collide with one another as a result of duplication, overlapping perils, event parameter ranges, LOBs, and coverages.

  • You can configure the Loss Widget template and the Hazard Widget template to specify the default display for the Loss Results and Hazard tiles that are used in the Contract Summary view in Underwriting Contract mode. You must have the appropriate analysis license in Underwriting Contract mode to use this feature.
