Options Tab (EDM Format)
The Options tab for RMS EDM (exposure data model) database import contains the following fields:
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Import Scheduling |
Specifies whether Touchstone should perform the data import immediately or schedule the data import for a specific date and time. Select one of the following options:
If you select Schedule on, you must also choose the desired date and time for the job. Note:
This field is applicable only for data import and for Detailed Loss Analyses in Portfolio Mode. This field is not available for a Geospatial analysis or for analyses in Underwriting Contract Mode. |
Priority |
Specifies the desired priority for this data import. Select one of the following options:
|
Number of Cores |
Specifies the minimum and maximum number of cores that Touchstone should use to perform this import. Enter the number of cores. The setting must meet the following criteria:
For more information, see Guidelines to Specifying the Number of Cores. |
If Locations Have Non-Zero Geocode Data |
Specifies whether Touchstone should preserve or overwrite user-supplied and premium latitude and longitude values in your data files. Select one of the following options:
Note:
By default, AIR ImportExpress geocodes non-geocoded locations. For more information, see Using Geocoding in Touchstone on the AIR Client Portal. |
Geocoder |
Specifies which geocoding tool Touchstone should use during the import. Select one of the following options:
|
Offshore IED Platform Validation |
Specifies how Touchstone validates and fills in missing information or corrects values for offshore platforms (a type of exposure that is different from typical buildings). Touchstone validates the exposure data against an Offshore Industry Exposure Database (IED). |
Log Statistic Currency and Rate |
Specifies which currency, such as US Dollar, Touchstone should use for import log statistics. Select the desired currency in the list. For example, if your import files contain exposure data in different currencies, Touchstone uses this setting to convert all relevant import log statistics to the same currency. This setting does not affect the currencies that you have included in your imported exposure data. Note:
The Rate field is read-only and indicates the default exchange rate table that the administrator has specified to convert the summary statistics to the common currency that Touchstone uses in the import log statistics. The Rate field may display AIR Default, Custom, or Euro-based. |
Convert Earthquake as Earthquake Fire |
Specifies whether Touchstone should convert the Earthquake peril in your source EDM database to the AIR Earthquake Fire peril. Select this check box if you want Touchstone to convert the Earthquake peril in your source EDM database to the AIR Earthquake Fire peril. Clear this check box if you do not want Touchstone to convert the Earthquake peril in your source EDM database to the AIR Earthquake Fire peril. |
Convert Year Built To Year Upgraded |
Specifies whether Touchstone should convert year built data in your source EDM database to year upgraded data in the Touchstone database. Select this check box if you want Touchstone to convert year built data in your source EDM database to year upgraded data in the Touchstone database. Clear this check box if you do not want Touchstone to convert year built data in your source EDM database to year upgraded data in the Touchstone database. |
Inception Date |
(Optional) Specifies an inception date by which to limit the EDM data import. If you want Touchstone to convert only contracts and locations that fall within a specific date range, select the desired inception date in this field, and select the desired expiration date in the Expiration Date field. Alternately, leave this field blank. For inception and expiration dates, and other in-force dates, you must specify a date value between 01/01/1970 and 12/31/2038, inclusive, for dates based on US regional settings. If you are not using US regional settings, use a date value other than 01/01/1970, such as 01/01/1990. |
Expiration Date |
(Optional) Specifies an expiration date by which to limit the EDM data import. If you want Touchstone to convert only contracts and locations that fall within a specific date range, select the desired expiration date in this field and select the desired inception date in the Inception Date field. |
Remember Settings |
Specifies whether AIR ImportExpress should preserve your current import options settings for future import jobs. Select this check box to preserve your settings. Clear this check box to apply your settings only to the current import job. AIR ImportExpress does not save the import options with the mapping set. However, the Remember Settings option enables you to preserve your settings. |
Refresh |
Enables you to refresh the settings on the Options tab, including the Number of Cores settings. |
