Selecting a Custom Frequency

You can select a custom frequency catalog imported into Touchstone from Model Builder. For information about customizing stochastic event frequencies in AIR models, see the Using Touchstone Model Builder guide.

Note:

Administrative users can create loss analysis templates that specify custom frequency options.

You can use the analysis results in Loss Groups, Marginal Impact, Loss Comparative and CATXOL analyses. You can export loss results to CSV files and to databases. The loss databases contain the modified results. Analysis logs for the modified loss analysis include a "Flexibility Options" section with information about the custom package used in the analysis.

Procedure

To select a custom frequency

  1. Create a new catastrophe peril analysis.
  2. Select an AIR model.
  3. Configure other settings such as the region, event set, and perils.
  4. Navigate to the Flexibility area.
  5. In the Custom Frequency list, select the custom frequency.

When you select the custom frequency, the list includes the names of the custom frequency and the model.

  6. [Optional] Leave the Include standard AIR Detailed Loss Analysis Result check box selected (the default) or clear the check box if you do not want to generate a standard detailed loss result in addition to the custom loss result.
  7. [Optional] Select a baseline analysis.
